Membership

Membership in the Society is open to anyone interested in archaeology and related areas. Membership covers entrance to any of our events.  For admission to a single event we ask for a 10.00 fee.  Note, however, that all national AIA events are free to the public (check our calendar of events).  To join, click on one of the paypal links below or mail in the membership form.  Once you place a membership(s) in your ‘cart’ you can pay either by paypal or credit card.  The categories of membership in the Society include:

REGULAR ($30) – Anyone interest in archaeology and wishing to participate in the Society’s programs.

FAMILY ($45) – Couples and their children under eighteen years of age.

SINGLE EVENT ($10) – For admission to a single ASSI event.

STUDENT (no charge; just show ID at any event) – Any full-time student under twenty-three years of age.

LIFE ($250) – Provides the same privileges as regular membership. Dues are payable in a single contribution.

FELLOW – Distinction conferred by the Society’s Board of Trustees upon a person who has made outstanding contributions to archaeology or who has helped significantly in furthering the objectives of the Society.

NATIONAL ($48) – Membership in the Staten Island Society, AIA which automatically confers REGULAR membership in the Society. Sign up on the AIA website, but be sure to indicate the Staten Island Chapter as your local society.  One can opt to receive the award winning Archaeology magazine, the AIA publication, at a reduced rate at this level of membership. Three(3) guest passes annually to monthly local lectures are included.
